No separate app, no new account, no second identity needed. You open EguWallet, connect your bank account through open banking or do a manual transfer, and the funds land directly in your wallet. Exactly like a normal transfer, except the destination is your own digital wallet.
Behind the scenes, without you needing to do anything, the value you funded is turned into a payment token layer. The architecture is designed for speed, traceability, and compatibility with MiCA and blockchain-directed rails. For you as a user, the experience is simple: you see a balance in your wallet and you are ready to pay.
No expensive POS terminal or complicated contract with a classic processor needed. The merchant opens an account, installs the EguPay merchant app, defines products, and can accept payments the same day. The system is designed specifically for small and very small merchants — a neighborhood bakery, a market stand, a local shop — not only for large chains.
When EguPay is active in the wallet, the customer brings their phone close to the merchant's phone or scans a QR code. Payment happens through NFC/BLE or QR/BLE. No extra steps, no experience more complicated than contactless payments people already know. And it works offline too — just like a card payment when the signal is imperfect, except the EguPay infrastructure was designed for this from the start.
After payment, the transaction appears in your history. The merchant receives settlement on a 1 to 5 day cycle depending on volume. And because all actors are identified through their EguWallet PID, every transaction is verifiable, AML-compatible, and stays under your control as a citizen. Your personal data does not travel between separate systems — it stays within the same secured ecosystem.
