What is EguWallet?
Regulated by EU Law
EguWallet is built on Regulation (EU) 2024/1183 — the eIDAS revision — which guarantees every European citizen the right to a free digital wallet, recognised across all 27 member states.
What is a EUDI Wallet?
A European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) is a secure app that stores verifiable digital identity documents: ID card, passport, driving licence, vehicle documents and more — all under your exclusive control.
Who provides EguWallet?
EguWallet is developed by IT Eguilde SRL, a digital identity provider. The app is built on the EUDI Architecture Reference Framework (ARF 2.5+), OpenID4VCI and OpenID4VP standards. It is currently undergoing formal eIDAS 2.0 certification — until certification is complete, it operates as a pilot EUDI Wallet.

Many notarial procedures that previously required citizens to physically appear can now be completed remotely — a major leap forward for digital public services.

Legally binding — trusted by law, controlled by you
EguWallet gives citizens full control over their identity data, while giving services and public authorities the legal certainty they need.
For citizens — you decide everything
For services and organisations — legally certain identity
Services that accept EguWallet (called Relying Parties — the businesses, institutions or public authorities that verify identity) benefit from:
Privately audited. Publicly accountable.
EguWallet is built on open standards (ARF 2.5+, OpenID4VCI, OpenID4VP, SD-JWT, ISO 18013-5) and is undergoing formal certification by an accredited Conformity Assessment Body. Our technical architecture is open to independent security audits. We are compliant with eIDAS 2.0 for public authorities, while remaining flexible for private sector integrations across retail, healthcare, finance and legal services.

Age verification, KYC/AML onboarding, self-exclusion checks, qualified electronic signature — all available through a single integration. Our SDK handles the OpenID4VP presentation flow, selective disclosure and audit logging for you.
What's next — the future of digital identity
EguWallet continuously expands with new use cases that make life easier
Device-to-Device Verification (Bluetooth)
Like contactless NFC payment — a police officer or merchant brings their phone near yours and instantly receives only the data you have authorised. No internet, no intermediate server.
Law Enforcement Identity Check
Similar to modern contactless payment: a law enforcement officer verifies identity via NFC/Bluetooth. You control what data is transmitted. Fast, secure, no photocopies needed.
Age 18+ Verification (Coming Soon)
Imminent deployment with a major Romanian retailer for age control on alcohol sales. The merchant receives only a YES/NO answer — no other personal data is disclosed.
Public Transport Tickets & Passes
Students entitled to free travel prove their status via EguWallet. Regular passengers purchase and present tickets digitally — no paper, no contact validators.
Address on the New Romanian ID Card
The new Romanian ID card no longer contains an address on the chip. EguWallet solves this: your registered address, certified by the official registry, can be selectively disclosed when required.
Qualified Digital Signature
EguWallet will function as a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) device compliant with eIDAS 2.0. Sign documents with full legal force, recognised across all EU member states — directly from your phone.
